Assistant Professor in Microbial Ecology of Plant Systems

The Department of Microbiological Sciences at North Dakota State University (NDSU) seeks to fill a tenure-track, assistant professor (9 month) position in the area of plant systems microbial ecology. Candidates with expertise in understanding complex microbial systems impacting crop health and production, and that can contribute to the department’s teaching, research, and outreach mission, are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will advise and teach undergraduate and graduate students, and establish a nationally recognized, extramurally funded, independent research program. The Department partners with interdisciplinary graduate programs in genomics, environmental and conservation sciences, and cellular and molecular biology for access to well-qualified students and collaborators. The hired individual is expected and encouraged to collaborate with other NDSU faculty conducting plant and/or crop systems research.
